Who this book is for
Facing Death: A Companion in Words and Images has been compiled as a resource for the dying and for those who care about and for them. It is for anyone who meets those requirements, regardless of race, religion, family situation or diagnosis.
This book can sit beside other books of consequence and meaning: scriptures, poetry, meditations. It can also stand alone.
The design of this book is very simple, allowing “sampling” whenever the time is right. The pages with messages can be read one-at-a-time, in any order, even perhaps wherever the book falls open. Each of these pages is composed of a single, full-colour nature photograph above a brief quotation or other message. To see two sample pages, please click here.
In addition to the completed pages, this book allows customization. Four pages have a photographic image only with lines to add a personalized message. The second section of the book comprises lined pages to allow journalling. The third section is available for the addition of personal items: notes, prayer cards, pictures of grandchildren, a photo of the family farm, a favourite poem.
This book is for anyone who wants or needs to contemplate death, the meaning of their own lives and memories, and who may appreciate the stunning beauty of nature scenes they may no longer be able to access.
